    yes  but but what i am saying it should be made a lot easier for the general public .
  • A simple message to get across is that, electricity consumption is roughly proportional to heat i.e.

    "things that get hot, consume electricity."

    We have a 3kw immersion I would like to add smart control to but don't think it is suitable for a standard plug socket controller as the current is to high?

     if you give them away they be used for a couple of weeks and  disappear in the garage . a few years  back every time i went to a property the tenants were trying to give me the cfl lamps the energy company's kept  sending them . the the same thing happened with the cheap geo monitors.many sites had them still unboxed   you only have  to look on ebay. There is enough extras on our  energy bills with out any more

    But by then they would  have done their job. I spent just a couple of hours seeing what was costing money on standby. Now I know so don’t need to use them all the time.

    I suspect you are right. I was thinking something along the lines of the Pension Wise service for people to get free impartial advice on energy saving specific to their situation e.g. "Energy Wise".

    i actually  used the pension wise service this year was about as much use as reading the beano
