Barclays Mortgage Extension after Exchange - Is it possible?

Hello, can somebody please help on this questions.  We have a BTL mortgage application with Barclays which is due to expire on 12th May.  We're currently in the mid of our chain obtaining searches/processing enquiries etc so I'm concerned we may not complete by the time this expires.

Does anybody know if Barclays will extend by a few days or a week even?  I read somewhere that if a solicitor writes to advise completion is near but needs a small extension it can be done but don't know how true that is.

Any insight appreciated.  Thank you

@twins I haven't had this situation with any of my clients but as per their published resi criteria, they say that offer extension will only be considered for new builds. Not sure if it's any different for BTL mortgage offers.

Just give your broker/Barclays a call and see what they say.
