i went at trafford centre today with my family, my brother who was driving, on two occassions was blocked by a indian lady driver, who was coming towards us the wrong way, it shows the arrow showing one way on the car park,
she reserved back and we went through, we came around and yet another attempt of her coming the wrong way, so my brother winded the windows down and said to her, 'dont u know this is one way' she agressively commented , no i dont know' a bit of high tone words went on, yet knowing there were kids in the car, she started the F words, my brother shouldnt have done this but he went mad and spat at her, well it hit her windows i think.
can she report this to police?
what can happen? my family was going mad at my brother.
silly nasty thing to do 'spit'

The police could probably do him under some ridiculous racial assault charge, the spit would be a nice bit of evidence to....
Its disgraceful to spit at someone though, its something i'd expect a yob to do, not someone capable of passing a driving test, oh and if he's like that in a car park, god forbid don't let him on the motorway.......

You can report anything to the police, whether anything will be done about it is another matter, they do both appear to be a bit to blame so I wouldn't worry overly about it, just put it down to experience and think next time!Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Yes she can report it to the police.
It would be considered as an assault.
The only way it could be considered as racial abuse/assault would be if he made racially abusive comments. Or indeed, if she made them:rolleyes:
If she noted the registration mark of your brothers car, and does make a complaint to the police, they he may have a visit from them.
If she didnt note the registration mark of his car, and she does not know him, or where he lives, there is not a great deal the police can do about it... unless of course, there is good CCTV footage of the incident and/or CCTV of his car registration
Sometimes people complain to the police, but dont want anything done

Often in car parks the arrows are hard to spot. And you end up turning and seeing an arrow after you've turned.
A lot of car parks were changed from private property rules to highway rules a few years back (years ago you could, for example, learn to drive in a car park as it was deemed private land, but not now). So it might be possible for her to report him.
Spitting on someone is technically common assault. Not sure what it is if he missed. Added to that, could be the issue of "I don't know that he doesn't have AIDS". And she could pull the "picking on an indian woman" card out, but with the common assault issue that might not be needed.
On the other hand, she probably won't bother. She'll just swear about him to her friends for a few weeks.0 -
sometimes drivers make mistakes i think your brothers reation was OTT this is supposed to be the season of good will not the season of the yob ! is he old enough to drive because this is behaviour id expect to see in a playground, i hope the police do pay him a visit it might teach him a lesson !This is a system account and does not represent a real person. She swore in front of the children (upsetting and intimidating them) and was in the wrong to begin with.
I hope the children are over this incident, but if she goes to the police, do not hesitate to point out that you feared for their safety from this unprovoked verbal assault.0 -
are you for real ? i understand the lady driver was in the wrong but spitting at her is hardly going make the kids any happier [notice i said "lady driver " not "indian " as her nationality is irrellivant] at least when the kids have asbo s in years to come you know where their attitude comes from !Curious_Moose wrote: »She swore in front of the children (upsetting and intimidating them) and was in the wrong to begin with.

Omg spitting in someone is a total disgrace!!Swearing in front of kids is also appalling behaviour. At this time of year I know people are stressed out trying to find parking spaces, and who hasn't driven the wrong way in a car park?My daughter is at the Trafford Centre today, and i'm glad it wasn't her who got spat on   "You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"
