I use the following and try not to put on the oven at all if I can.I know you don't use the MV. But re jacket potatoes, I start them off in the microwave, say 10 mins, then to crisp them up finish them off in an actifry (without the paddle) for another 15 mins or so. It's a good machine for sausages, chilli, curries etc as well. Rather versatile (tons of recipes online)Slow cooker for chickens, soups, rice puddings etcHM wonder bag used occasionally if I have the time.I have also inherited a tiny countertop oven, which is good for a few items eg fish fingers, sausages etcand I also use a George Foreman for sausages, meat and it has a side hot plate attached for waffles, fried eggs etc

romaineahern said:Thanks for that what model Remoska do you have please. I was looking at the Tria merely for the size and as perhaps an alternative to cook a chicken, but for most of the time a smaller one would do - is it very versatile, e.g. does it bake potatoes, do chips, roast potatoes, etc? Will continue to use my big oven for batch baking bread but looking for alternatives on day to day basis, although the AGA dual fuel is very robust and does not heat the kitchen just looking for ways to cut back on electrical expenditure. Thanks
It is versatile - anything you can cook in an oven you can cook in the Remoska. I've cooked chicken, jacket potatoes. I've not actually cooked chips from fresh potatoes but DH has used it to reheat chippy chips the following day (because portions are always too big!). Also works well with oven chips.
It is possible to bake bread and cakes although I haven't tried either.
If I hadn't already got the Remoska I would definitely be tempted by the Tria as it also works as a pressure cooker as well as the usual oven dishes. My sister has recently bought the Tria but as she has just moved hasn't actually used it so can't actually say if it's as good as the Standard which is the same size.

I can recommend the Ninja Foodie - roasts, air fry chips, meat, veg and such like. Cooks efficiently and we use it a lot0
