Probably put some gas on the meter and maybe be a bit more generous with the grocery budget (everything is so expensive 😱) and the boys really want to go to the cinema in the holidays so we can do that now. I’ve already put £50 into my emergency fund (that was already budgeted)kimwp said:Yey, that's brilliant!! Well done!! What are you going to do with the £175?
Sounds fab!! If you can squeeze in a money saving celebration of the moment, I highly recommend it, even just raising a glass to yourself ☺️Statement of Affairs (SOA) link: https://www.lemonfool.co.uk/financecalculators/soa.phpFor free, non-judgemental debt advice, try: Stepchange or National Debtline. If it was a chain I would, but it’s the sweetest little independent cinema, and they have happy shopper sweets, popcorn and crisps, 2 bags for £1.50, the tickets are £15 for all 3 of us and I’ll probably spend another £5 on drinks and treats, and I get to support a local business while not spending a fortuneSncjw said:Take your own snacks into the cinema that will save a bit.

Can you deduct what he owes you in child maintenance?GreenCat80 said:I’ve done it 🙀🙀🙀
I paid off the big debt as planned, and literally as I put the phone down westcott called me. I had a debt managed by them for £365, they’d offered a £275 settlement which is what I’d budgeted my super tight month around, I offered £100 thinking they’d say no, but they said yes! So I’ve now got £175 wiggle room in my budget and I'm debt free!!! I think this is the first time in about 20 years I haven’t had any debt! Now to try to get a mortgage to pay off my ex and then I’ll have another kind of debt to worry about 😹

Thanks RAS 😊 I did speak to a mortgage advisor and he said he could get me a deal, but then ghosted me for almost 2 weeks so I emailed him and said I was now going to wait until the CCJ comes off my file on the 25th of this month as one of the mortgage advisers on here suggested I do. Ex will just have to hold on! I am feeling really stressed about it all actually 😬RAS said:Congratulations.
