Hiya! Just wanted to know if switching bank accounts can impact my mortgage if I have already got a mortgage offer in place. We have not gone through exchange yet.

I would avoid any financial transactions that require a search on your credit file unless absolutely necessary - your lender will likely to another credit check a few days before / day of completion. If you absolutely have too open a new account then speak to your mortgage broker and make sure they believe it’ll be fine first - but i would avoid it

@blablablaxd I might do it for my own mortgage, but if a client asked me I would recommend that they do their best to incur no new hard-checks between offer and completion.blablablaxd said:Hiya!
