Parking fine with wrong address..

Hello.
I have received a parking fine of which i did purchase a ticket but it is a second notice of which a neighbour brought to my house as it had his address on the envelope. i did not receive the first letter, presumably because that would have also had the wrong address on. i have sent the parking company an appeal before i noticed that the address (house number) on the notice is wrong.
My question is; is the fine invalid because it has the wrong address (house number) on the notice?
Thanks in advance.

Parking fine or a Penalty Charge Notice?

Parking company = almost certainly an invoice (Parking Charge Notice), so not a fine nor a penalty.
@mmiicckkyy1 please repost in the Parking board, and when doing so please give better details - the actual full name of the parking company will help for a start, as will what it actually is that you've received.
Whilst doing so, please read also the NEWBIES announcement thread in there.Jenni x1 -
Is the address on the V5 correct?

My question is; is the fine invalid because it has the wrong address (house number) on the notice?Hardly anything invalidates a private parking charge at first base. The wrong address doesn't, for sure. The parking firm will have received the address from the DVLA, who use the details as shown on your V5C (logbook); so please check that, because not having the correct address showing can have much more serious consequences than receiving a private parking charge. Start with a £1,000 fine from the DVLA!Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Do you have any evidence that anyone has ever been fined £1000 by the courts ?
Do the DVLA even issue £1000 fines as you assert?

It is not scaremongering. The DVLA have the power to issue £1000 penalties to a motorist who does not update their driving licence, or their V5C details, (that's two separate penalties, not one), which is why the OP was asked if the details on their your V5C is correct.
This is a money saving site, and trying to ensure a poster saves money by not getting a DVLA penalty or two is exactly that.
If the address on a V5C is incorrect, and you receive an invoice from a parking company, then you could receive a court claim without knowing it, and possibly a judgement in default if that is responded to that will affect your ability to obtain credit for six years.
That's not scaremongering either. It's fact.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

FYI it wasn't the OP who made the "scaremongering" statement.
