TERMS AND CONDITIONS for “Absolute Radio – Breakfast Show Wickes Weekly Feature AND Online Wickes Competition – Q2 2022” (the “Competition”). These terms should be read with our general competition terms at: http://www.bauerlegal.co.uk/radio-competition-terms.html which also apply to this Competition.

 

1.COMPETITION MECHANIC AND HOW TO WIN	Online Competition: The prize winner for the online competition will be selected from those persons who successfully answer the online question correctly.   The online winner will be chosen by electronic random draw on 04/07/2022 (online entry period closes at 23:59 on 03/07/2022)   On-air Breakfast Show Competitions: The winner/ winners for this competition will be picked to play from all entrants at random each week.   The competition mechanic will be announced by the presenters during the announcement of the competition each week during the on-air competition period.   The winner will be whoever successfully answers the competition question correctly/identifies the correct answer from any clues given/successfully identifies the right answer or outcome from the clues/instructions given.   The competitions may require one or multiple contestants which will be announced each week during the competition period.   The prize value available each week will be announced weekly and how this will be awarded will follow one of the following options which will be announced during the announcement of the competition: The prize will be won by one contestant if the competition is a one contestant mechanic and the contestant is successful. The prize will be won by one contestant if the competition is a multiple contestant mechanic and one contestant succeeds. The prize can be won by multiple contestant if the competition is a mechanic where contestants can each win increments of the total prize available.   There will be one/ multiple on-air winners each week from 28/03/2022 until 27/06/2022

3. DATES	Online Competition   Start Date and End Date. From 28/03/2022 at 00:01 until 03/07/2022 at 23:59   The online winner details are available by contacting win@bauermedia.co.uk   On-air Breakfast Show Competition   The On-air Breakfast Show Competition will open every week between 6am on 28/03/2022 at 00:01 until 27/06/2022 at 10am Friday between 6AM and 10AM*.   Specific competition opening times and entry method will be specified by the presenter each week.   Entries received before the Start Date or after the End Date will be invalid.   Winner Announcement. The name and the hometown of the winner(s) (s) will be announced on the Absolute Radio Breakfast show each week during the competition period.   The online winner details are available by contacting win@bauermedia.co.uk
4. ENTRY RESTRICTIONS	Open to UK residents aged 18 years or over on date of entry.   One entry per person.   Our employees (and their family members) or employees of any company involved in the Competition, including any Prize Provider, are not permitted to enter.   If you or any other person at your household has won a prize valued at £500 or more on any Bauer brand in the past 6 months, you nor they are not eligible to enter or win this competition. 5. THE PRIZE	Online Competition   Prize: 1 x £1000 Wickes Gift Card   On-air Breakfast Show Competition    Wickes Gift Card* *The value of the Wickes Gift Card available to be won each week will be announced by the on-air presenters during the competition mechanic announcement. This can change weekly and the increment available can be awarded to one or multiple winners depending on the competition.   Only one prize will be awarded per person during the competition period from 28/03/2022 at 00:01 until 27/07/2022 at 23:59. If a person is selected at random duplicate times during the competition entry period then another entry will be selected at random from all other entries.   In the event that there is an additional prize added, these terms and conditions will be updated with the relevant information and the additional prize will be stated fully on air.    Use of a false name will result in disqualification.           I.          The Prize is non-transferable, non-refundable and there is no cash alternative. Wickes reserves the right to substitute the Prize with one of equal or greater value at any time.        II.          Any changes to the prize draw will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by Wickes.       III.          Entrants who sign up to the Wickes marketing can opt out at any time. All marketing content which is sent to entrants will have an opt-out link within the content.   The Prize is provided by Wickes and we are not responsible for any aspect of the Prize, including unsatisfactory quality or late delivery.

1. DATA PROTECTION. Names, email addresses, and /or telephone numbers (which, for all SMS competitions, will be shared with our SMS provider,) will be collected and used to process entries. Winner’s details may be given to the prize provider to arrange delivery of the prize.  Your details may remain stored after the End Date but will not be used for marketing unless you have ticked an opt-in box on entry. 1. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND CONSENTS. By entering this Competition, you are consenting to our use of your entry both to publicise this Competition, our radio station or any other radio station which we own or control. This means that we may use all names, images, descriptions, photographs video footage, and other information, which you’ve submitted on entry, in any media, without paying you and without any time restriction. You also agree that we may film, record or photograph you in connection with the competition and /or the Prize (if you win!). We will own these films, recordings or photographs and we may use them publicly, including on the internet, for our radio broadcasts and/or for any promotional purposes. You will also have waived any moral rights or right to payment that you may have had.

 

1. MISCELLANEOUS.
   1. Entries that don’t comply with these terms won’t be accepted and you may be disqualified if we think you’ve breached them.
   2. Entrants may not enter more than once.
   3. If there is a dispute about the operation of the Competition or correctness of any answers given, our decision is final and no discussion will be entered into on this subject.
   4. We are not responsible if you fail to get through when you call / text to enter, or if you lose signal during a call.
   5. You are responsible for all costs of entry.
   6. You may be disqualified if you are incomprehensible, inaudible or if you appear to be driving, intoxicated or likely to offend listeners.
   7. Whilst on-air, you must not make inappropriate or offensive statements.
   8. As far as it is lawful to do so we exclude our liability for any losses suffered in connection with the Competition / the Prize.
   9. We may cancel / amend / end / suspend the Competition if we need to do so due to circumstances outside our control.
