Mortgage and DMP's

I am currently on a DMP with Stepchange for two credit card debts. I don't have any CCJ's and the debts defaulted in March 2017. My understanding is that these defaults will come off my credit file in March 2023 however my DMP will not be paid off until 2024. I am looking to get a mortgage in three years time and want to really give myself the best shot so what I'm wondering is will my debts still show on my credit file even though the default is due to come off? Is there any way to tell if the DMP is showing on my credit file? Is it best to pay off the debts in full as soon as I can or should I offer them a percentage of the full amount?

Any closed/defaulted credit agreement stays on file for 6 years from the close/default date

All a DMP does, is repay your debts at a more affordable rate, your credit file shows defaults for these two debts, so once they have dropped off your file, all trace of everything will be gone, your DMP arrangement, will still continue, but it will not be further reported to your credit file.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
