I hate soft towels, they don't dry me after a shower.  How do I make the towels come out hard, I use only ecover washing liquid.

Thanks

How do you dry the towels?  Line drying will likely leave them harder than tumble drying.

Are you using fabric softener?  Using too much can make your towels water proof and don’t dry you so well.

Ok note to self, don't use the tumble, but I usually just hang them on an indoor clothes drier.

Reminds me of the Gavin & Stacey Christmas special - Gwen's towels were a wedding gift in 1982 :)

So do mine, but we're in a hard water area. DH loves a hard towel...

We're in a hard water area, but have a water softener. The towels are pretty old, bought in 2007 or 2008 if I recall, so perhaps that's why they are pretty crispy now. We are changing the bathroom this year so will be redecorating, so I'll buy new then to match a changed colour scheme.

Mine come out exactly how you're wanting them to be if I line dry UNLESS I leave them out late when they 'soften' up outside.
