Is anyone a Parish Clerk?

Hi,
There is a current vacancy for Parish Clerk in my local area and I'm contemplating applying but looking at the responsibilities it does seem a very complicated job for only a few hours a week! I was just hoping someone on here maybe able to advise me on what experiences you might have! My maths is really bad so I'm not sure what skills are needed or what training I could do. Any advice would be wonderful please!

Also have a look for the Association of Local Councils for whichever county you're in, for example OALC is the Oxfordshire Association of Local Councils.

I used to become and a lot of faf. Depends on village but it takes all sorts of knowledge and doing the accounts.msybe have an interview and ask more.

Whatever you do make sure you read the standing orders... read them and understand them.
