Extra bank holiday 2022

Is this compulsory? My contract says 20 doead leave plus 8 bank Holidays does that mean I won't get the extra bank holiday. I worked for the same company back in 2011 and I didn't get that extra one that year

No bank Holidays are just normal days, it's not compulsory to have them given as leave. Esp if your contract states 8 bank Holidays too.Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....0

Some companies may close for the extra bank holiday but use one of the 20 days annual leave to cover it.khickey88 said:Is this compulsory? You can always request to take annual leave to cover it if you choose.0 -
It will be at your employer's discretion. Had it said 20 days plus bank holidays (not specifying a number of BHs) you would have got it.
