I am looking for an iboost installer in Bristol area. Please suggest if you know any good electrician.
I didn't bother to install it at the time of PV installation as gas price was just 2.4p! good ol days!

Any sparky should be able to install a diverter like the iboost. They are nothing more than a clever switch inserted into the immersion heater circuit. In simple terms, cut the wire, and attach the two ends to the input and output of the diverter...0

As above, any spark should be able to install one - you might find that you need a new immersion heater at the same time - depending on how hard the water is in the area. There are various commissioning steps in the installation manual which I ignored when I DIY installed mine earlier today.
I find it to be annoyingly noisy - due to the built-in fan.Central Beds, 2.02kWp (9 x 225W) south facing with some morning shade, installed 2011 (£7.16/Wp). Tigo monitoring/optimisers on all panels, Growatt MIC 2000 TL-X Inverter and Solar iBoost installed 2022. (4 x 415W + 6 x 405W garden experiment connected to SunSynk 3.6 hybrid inverter & 2 x 5.3kWh SynSynk batteries) (4 x 405W panels queued to go somewhere)0 -
For the first time in eight-years, the iBoost will be of some value. My gas now is priced at 7.369 p per kWh and the summer efficiency of my boiler for water heating is 80%. The effective value of diversion is 7.369/0.8 = 9.2 p per kWh. That is better than my metered export rate of 6 p per kWh. My average annual diversion is 492 kWh, so the annual value of gas displaced is about £45 which is better than the £29 I would receive for metered export. The incremental value is now about £16 each year.I have osteoarthritis in my hands so I speak my messages into a microphone using Dragon. Some people make "typos" but I often make "speakos".1
