Credit Card use after approval

Hi, I was approved for a mortgage 3 months ago, expected completion in a few weeks.
I have avoided all credit card use since approval but have accidentally made an online purchase of £25 using my credit card this morning. I have immediately cancelled the sale but it is already pending on my credit card.
Should I inform the mortgage broker of this mistake? Is it likely to cause any problems? I had a £600 balance at time of approval which the broker was aware of and I plan to pay all of this off next week before completion. They did advise not to use credit card until completion in order to reduce any further risks.

What is the reasoning behind not using a credit card after a mortgage approval?
As long as you pay the credit card statement off in full each month there will be no interest and I cant imagine why it would be an issue?1 -
Increases the risk of lowering credit score and generally isn’t good to be increasing credit use during first time house purchase from what I’ve read. L&C brokers advised not to use it either.
I’ve only been paying the minimum not full (on 0% deal) but as mentioned will be paying in full in a weeks time.0 -
