Will JSA affect future mortgage application?

I wondered how far back lenders will look and whether a break in employment and a few months job seekers allowance will impact lending likelihood? If I've been employed for a year after JSA would it be overlooked?

They don't look that far back, just at your current employment. Some might require continuous employment for 12 months etc, but you will find many lenders who don't1

As above, if you have employed in your new job for less than 12 months and/or are still in probationary period it might knock out some lenders.
