New job 3 weeks ago, Member of staff didn't approve docs before cut off so now I'm without pay for m

Me and around 10 others aren't getting paid tomorrow because of the company's mess up.

When we started, we had to upload various documents and was told not to upload billing information until 2nd day of training.

On the day of acceptance 2 weeks prior, I had someone from the company calling me up being rude asking if I had uploaded documents yet (some where difficult to find in the 30 mins since precious phone call) and hounded me all day until I uploaded everything they wanted.

We asked to finish uploading everything at the beginning of our first week of training. The trainer said "you'll do that Friday"

So Friday came around and we uploaded the last bits.

We were told that the Line manager who was supposed to sign off the documents was on holiday and someone else should do it.

Well, our documents were not signed off by anyone at all and we were given the new that because of this, we aren't getting paid for the month tomorrow.

What should we do, I'm generally okay as we have a lot saved (between me and my husband) but other team members are the sole earners and have to choose between food and bills.

Given the issue has been caused by the employer, I don't think it would be too unreasonable for the company to make an out of payroll payment to affected staff which could then be shown as payment & deduction on next months payslip.

Are you an employee or self employed?  I've noticed the reference to Billing Information so not sure.

Have HR been contacted directly and what did they say?

An out of cycle payment or bridging loan are often ways organisations deal with such circumstances.

We're asking managers who claim to be looking into it

Brilliant. How can they deal with the issues of others when they can't sort out their own?

Why are you just asking managers, is there not an HR / Payroll help line or method to raise your own queries?

one of the team members raised it with a team leader whilst they were at the office yesterday so they said they'd look into it. Then the team leader said tak to such and such then told to talk with another manager
