Despite a pre-tax profit of £1.2 billion, they simply don't have sufficient advisors available. Not only this, but I have been passed from pillar to post on a current application for a change to a mortgage which has been running for a number of years. At least a 20 minute wait + +.
Maybe the Chief Exec needs to hold onto his car when the ashtray is full, rather than buy a new one, and employ some advisors.
