WE have recently got a DIP with nationwide and got an offer accepted on a house
Went to put in a full application as chose to have advice. I assumed this would be a quick talk to someone but i was booked an appointment for 10 days later that could last up to 2 hours... Have quite a low LTV so theres not going to be a great deal of choice of products available to me. Are they just going to be trying to sell me life/building insurance etc. for 2 hours or am i going to get anything useful out of the meeting > starting to think i should have just gone for an online application

HI there, all these appointments are for 2 hours, most lenders do it, however it doesn't last that long if there's not much to talk about. You go through the application, they ask you about various what if this? and what if that? so yes there's an element of trying to sell you life cover etc but you can just politely decline. Then they run your application via credit scoring, tell you the outcome, then you wait for the mortgage offer.secla said:WE have recently got a DIP with nationwide and got an offer accepted on a house

As above, any application can be 2 hours long - they have to get all your details and then recommend you a product. You wont find it quicker many other places going direct.0
