‘Buying in’ to partners mortgage with help to buy isa

My partner owns his house. I have never owned a house so I’m a first time buyer and have a help to buy isa.
So I know for certain if we moved house I could use The isa and get the government bonus.
but we aren’t looking to move anytime soon however the mortgage is up for renewal soon so we are wanting to change it so the house and mortgage is in both our names.
so the question is can I use the help to buy isa bonus when doing this as technically I’m buying my first house aren’t I.

I can’t find an answer 100% either way anywhere although I have seen ‘you can use it if buying in to a partners property’.
just wondering if anyone has done this and what the process is? Obviously if just remortgaging you wouldn’t normally use a conveyancer would you but to get the bonus the conveyancer needs to apply for it, do solicitors take on this kind of work.
