Debt letter

Hi. My husband received a letter from arrow regarding a debt for  shop direct ( CARVAL) for £1485. But we have no idea what this is for. But they have said in the letter that they have contacted him but he hasnt contacted them so they have passed this to another company called Resolvecall, apparently they are in Glasgow G2 7AT. Has anyone else had something like this before ? Thank you.

Millions of people I would suspect, they send out such letters like confetti.

The Shop Direct group's brands are Very.co.uk, Littlewoods.com, Very Exclusive and Littlewoods Ireland.

The former Shop Direct brands are Additions Direct, Abound, Choice, Great Universal, Isme, K&Co, Kays, Marshall Ward and Woolworths.

Has he ever had an account with one of those brands ?

It appears Arrow Global have now bought this debt, and are engaging Resolvecall to collect it on their behalf.

Resolvecall are doorstep collection agents (use the search facility on this site to glean information on how to deal with them, as they have been mentioned on here many times).

Aside from that, you should send the "provit letter" to Arrow, available in the sticky section on this forum, they must provide evidence of liability when asked in writing, see what comes back.
