    Intelligent Octopus for me - 7.5p/kWh 23.30 - 05.30 & 29p/kWh peak rate.

6 hours is just long enough to fully charge my batteries from empty - It'll also put 160 miles into the Tesla.
    4kWp (black/black) - Sofar Inverter - SSE(141°) - 30° pitch - North Lincs
    Installed June 2013 - PVGIS = 3400
    Sofar ME3000SP Inverter & 5 x Pylontech US2000B Plus & 3 x US2000C Batteries - 19.2kWh
  • There are so many Octopus Tariffs, "Octopus Go" only has a four hour charging window for some reason.  And it finishes too early (4:30) to be ideal for putting some heat into the house before we wake up.

I'm also using Octopus Go. Sadly not compatible with Intelligent (would need new car or wallbox, which would never recover the outlay unless required for other reasons).

We are with Octopus and on Economy 7 ; need those hours to charge my battery fully. We are a high electric usage household.   Night import rate is lower than the Export rate(15p) with octopus, works well for us.

This Fogstar is very competitively priced:

    15kWh_304Ah Solar Battery (shopify.com)

You'll need a hybrid inverter, in addition, unless you happen to have a solar system with one.
  • Thank you for the suggestion. It looks good. What you think about Huawei battery.

I have Huawei kit installed and it is good quality and the user community seems to have very few issues apart from the odd software glitch. The batteries do need to be connected to Huawei's own inverter as far as I am aware.

    6.4kWp (16 * 400Wp REC Alpha) facing ESE + 5kW Huawei inverter + 10kWh Huawei battery. Buckinghamshire.

I've had the fogstar ones, replacing my pylontechs for the last 8 months, no complaints at all, and they definitely balance better than the pylontechs
