Where is best value for money? Not going to sag after a few years?

  • Local independent furniture shop, but won't be cheap and they won't have free credit for xxxx years.
If you go down to the woods today you better not go alone.

Thought I would hijack this post rather than start another on the same subject.

I'm also looking for a sofa, and the gulf in price between say SCS, Dunelm, Argos/Habitat and say sofa.com, is pretty huge for a sofa's that look fairly similar. Is it a case of you get what you pay for here, or are the £1500 pound sofa's at sofa.com just about branding and look?

The previous comment about "local independent furniture shop" isn't all that helpful, because even if you have a local independent, just because they are independent doesn't mean they are any good - Trotters Independent Traders comes to mind.

I don't want to be buying a sofa every couple of years, so I'd rather pay £1500 for something that will be more comfortable and last, but obviously don't want to pay an extra grand to pay for a marketing team.

    Any recommendations?

    Thanks.
