Remortgage living next to a pub

We are trying to find a company to remortgage with as we want to extend but live behind a village pub. We have been through to the final completion stage with our current mortgage company, Barclays Bank, only to be turned down due to a nil valuation (although they will allow us to continue with the current mortgage which we have had for 14 years) and have just tried with Natwest only to be told the house is unsaleable due to being behind a pub and next to a village hall. Does anyone have any advice?

OP, have you tried a broker?1 -
Try a broker. There will be lenders who lend on property next to commercial like this, they might not have the best rates though0
