If the OP wants the market rate they are free to terminate their FIT contract and go on Octopus Agile.
You can opt out of the export part and still retain the generation payments.

Crikey. So with an early FiT set-up you could, theoretically, get a £ or more per kWh.

Not that you are going to get rich on 2kWh per day surplus.

However, those very early adopters had to pay £14,000 for a 4kWp array.
    4kWp (black/black) - Sofar Inverter - SSE(141°) - 30° pitch - North Lincs

The FiT to price ratio was pretty constant, so the pay-back time remained about the same.

INSTALLED 2011 3.9kw system £ 9685.19p, with a fit contract for 25 years with RPI inflation proofing to boot.
average generation 3750 kw a year so the best investment we could have made.
Plus the company who installed system still trading quite well.

The elderly homeowners we bought from paid > £14.5k for a 2kWp array shaded by the house in the morning & then in the afternoon by a large Silverbirch.

Fortunately the tree has come down and we've fitted optimisers to try and get to break-even within 25 years.

    Central Beds, 2.02kWp (9 x 225W) south facing with some morning shade, installed 2011 (£7.16/Wp). Tigo monitoring/optimisers on all panels, Growatt MIC 2000 TL-X Inverter and Solar iBoost installed 2022. (4 x 415W + 6 x 405W garden experiment connected to SunSynk 3.6 hybrid inverter & 2 x 5.3kWh SynSynk batteries) (4 x 405W panels queued to go somewhere)
