Santander Mortgage offer expiring- help

Hi all, our Santander mortgage offer is expiring in 3 weeks and we still don’t have a completion date- a piece of paperwork on our sellers new purchase is outstanding so this is causing the delay. They are waiting for discharged mortgage information.

I’m super stressed that we are not going to complete on time, and mortgage offer is going to expire.
Anyone know what happens in this case? Or anyone know the process of a Santander extension (if they exist). I’ve recently been in my overdraft and I’m worried this will affect mortgage offer if a new One needs to be applied for.

Thanks in advance,

Hi, did you find out an answer to this? Our santander offer is valid until september but flat will not be ready for completion until November.. we are being rushed to exchange but i am not comfortable to commit unless we don’t have to reapply for mortgage again (not so worried about the interest rates).
