TERMS AND CONDITIONS for “SKY MOBILE Absolute Radio and Magic Radio” (On-Air & Online Competition). 

  

These terms should be read with our general competition terms at: http://www.bauerlegal.co.uk/radio-competition-terms.html which also apply to this Competition. 

  



1.COMPETITION MECHANIC AND HOW TO WIN	There will be one online competition from Friday 11 March to  Sunday 20th March 2022 with one prize package as detailed below - a shared prize for entries via the Absolute Radio and the Magic Radio websites.    There will be a daily on air competition on each radio station - Absolute Radio and Magic Radio -  with the following competition entry mechanic.  Call or contact the station by telephone to be in with a chance to play on air:   On Air Competition mechanic:   The Magic and Absolute Radio presenters will solicit for contestants each day at a time specified by them on air. Each round, the game will start with four possible questions in the round for that day. For every question the entrant answers correctly they will receive £500 into their “piggybank” growing their cash amount banked. After 4 questions the round will be over for that day. If the contestant gets all questions right, they will be given the opportunity to roll on to the next day, adding  more money to the amount already in their “piggybank”. Or they can choose to walk away with their prize money from that day, in which case a new entrant would play the following day. This process will then continue until they either choose to ‘bank’ at the end of a day’s round, or they get a question wrong. If on any given day they get a question wrong before reaching question four, they will lose everything and walk away with no prize. The competition will then start back up again the following day with a new contestant, who will start with the banked money from the unsuccessful previous contestant. They will  then play the game starting from question one of a possible four,  with each question correctly answered adding £500 to their prize money.  At the end of each competition round, they can continue to choose between ‘banking’ or playing on the following day. This process will continue until the competition ends on the 17th March 2022 on Magic, 18th March 2022 on Absolute Radio. Note: on 17th March 2022 a competition round will be recorded off air, which will be broadcast on 18thMarch 2022.  Alternatively,  at the end of each daily competition round (four questions all correctly answered), the contestant who is still playing will be offered the opportunity to ‘bank’ their winning money and walk away with that as their prize. In that instance a new contestant will be brought to air the following day to play and  the amount in the “piggybank” will go back to zero. The game will then start again, from question one of a possible four,  with each question correctly answered being awarded the £500 prize money to add to the “piggybank”.   If a previous contestant ‘banks’ (retains the winnings so far) the comp round the following day goes back to zero prize fund. If a contestant leaves the competition through an incorrect answer: the amound in the piggybank rolls over up to the total prize fund value of £10,000.00 total per station, per week.   Only upon being brought to air is a participant a potential winner. The number of daily participants will be dictated by the winner stays on mechanic.

3. DATES	ONLINE Start Date and End Date: There will be 1 x online competition with 1 x shared prize across both Bauer radio brand websites of stations Absolute Radio and Magic Radio. The competition will start at 18:00 on Friday 11 March (start date) and end on Sunday 20 March (end date) at 23:39.    ON AIR Start Date and End Date:    MAGIC  There will be 1 x competition round, every day from Monday 14 March 2022 (start date) to Thursday 17 March on Magic Radio, between the hours of 0600 and 1000 each daily (with an entrants submission end time of 08:00 on Thursday 17 March for Magic Radio ).    ABSOLUTE There will be 1 x competition round, every day from Monday 14 March 2022 (start date) to Friday 18 March end date) on Absolute Radio between the hours of 06:00 and 10:00 each day (with an entrants submission time of 08:00 on Friday 18 March on Absolute Radio)   Specific opening and closing times may be stated by the presenter on the day. Entries received before the Start Date or after the End Date will be invalid.     Please note Bauer Media reserves the right to remove the competition for an event beyond our control such as a public holiday or external event.    Winner Announcement.    On Air: The name and the hometown of the winner(s) will be announced on on-air after each competition round concludes - unless the player stays on and returns to the show the next day in keeping with the mechanic described above.   Online: The winner will be contacted by Bauer Radio via the email address submitted by the contestant online at point of entry.
4. ENTRY RESTRICTIONS	Unless otherwise stated the promotion is open to UK, Isle of Man, Channel Island and Republic of Ireland residents, aged 18 years or over. Proof of age may be required.   Our employees (and their family members) or employees of any company involved in the Competition, incl. the Prize Provider, must not enter.  If you have won a Bauer competition in the past 6 months to the value of £500 or more, you or any person at the winning address will not be eligible to win the competition.  We reserve the right to disqualify any entrant or winner who does not comply with any of the eligibility criteria and/or is in breach of these Terms. 5. THE PRIZE	Online Prizes    There will be 1 x online competition with 1 x shared prize across both Bauer radio brand websites of stations Absolute Radio and Magic Radio. The competition will start on Friday 11 March (start date) and end on Sunday 20 March (end date) at 23:59.    Sky Mobile Contract: The prize will consist of a Sky Mobile Data Plan including unlimited calls and text messages with a 12 month free period. Subject to Status and Credit check. 12-month min term; prices may vary. Unlimited calls and texts; UK landlines (01, 02 & 03) & UK mobiles (07). Your Sky Mobile data plan price will be fixed for 12-months (excludes VAT changes). Offer lost if you mix to another plan. Acceptable use policy applies, full terms sky.com/mobileterms.  Any services used outside of these allowances will be chargeable. A credit or debit card may be required in order to sign up to a contract. UK only. 18+. The contract (i) must be in winner’s name, (ii) may be cancelled by notice at the end of the 12 months free period by giving 31 days’ notice to Sky Mobile, but if not cancelled the plan will continue and the winner will be charged the full monthly price for the plan until terminated on 31 days’ notice (current pricing should be checked at sky.com/shop/mobile), (iii) cannot be altered by the winner once the order has been accepted or at any time during the first 12 months, without losing all free allowances for the plan for that period, and (iv) can be altered by Sky Mobile at any time if providing allowances which are no less favourable. Standard Sky Mobile terms apply.     On Air Prizes      There will be a total on air prize fund of £10,000.00 cash per station (to clarify: up to £10,000.00 on Absolute Radio and up to £10,000.00 on Magic Radio). The prize fund will be allocated per winning question at a value of £500.00 according to the game play of the mechanic described above.   The total weekly prize fund will not exceed the value of £10,000.00 and will be distributed to winners according to their success per number of correct questions answered within the limits of the afore mentioned competition mechanic. The total prize fund is up to the value of £10,000.00 per station; and may end under this value if dictated to by order of play.    The prize will be provided in the form of a cheque.  Prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable and no cash alternatives will be offered (where the prize is not originally cash).    Bauer Media reserve the right to award or not to award up to a total ten additional prizes of the following package, to contestants who play on air but do not qualify for on air cash prizes. OTHER CONDITIONS 

  

1. DATA PROTECTION. Names, email addresses, and /or telephone numbers (which, for all SMS competitions, will be shared with our SMS provider,) will be collected and used to process entries. Winner’s details may be given to the prize provider to arrange delivery of the prize.  Your details may remain stored after the End Date but will not be used for marketing unless you have ticked an opt-in box on entry or text STOP if entering via SMS. If you have, your details will be used in accordance with the information given when you ticked the opt-in box and gave your consent. 1. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND CONSENTS. By entering this Competition, you are consenting to our use of your entry both to publicise this Competition, our radio station or any other radio station which we own or control. This means that we may use all names, images, descriptions, photographs video footage, and other information, which you’ve submitted on entry, in any media, without paying you and without any time restriction. You also agree that we may film, record or photograph you in connection with the competition and /or the Prize (if you win!). We will own these films, recordings or photographs and we may use them publicly, including on the internet, for our radio broadcasts and/or for any promotional purposes. You will also have waived any moral rights or right to payment that you may have had. 

  

1. MISCELLANEOUS. 

a)       Entries that don’t comply with these terms won’t be accepted and you may be disqualified if we think you’ve breached them. 

b)       One entry per person. 

c)        If there is a dispute about the operation of the Competition or correctness of any answers given, our decision is final and no discussion will be entered into on this subject. 

d)       The correct answers to questions must exactly match our answers to win. 

e)       We are not responsible if you fail to get through when you call / text to enter, or if you lose signal during a call. 

f)         You are responsible for all costs of entry. 

g)     You may be disqualified if you are incomprehensible, inaudible or if you appear to be driving, intoxicated or likely to offend listeners. 

h)     Whilst on-air, you must not make inappropriate or offensive statements. 

i)      As far as it is lawful to do so we exclude our liability for any losses suffered in connection with the Competition. 

  

We may end / suspend the Competition if we need to do so due to circumstances outside our control.
