The information on JustPark charges is not correct. While they say on their website that they only charge a 3% space owner fee and either £0.49 or £0.99 transaction fee, they are also charging a more than 30% driver fee. I only found this out, because my earnings weren't matching the price that my space was advertised for. This is what the JustPark advisor told me (I quote) " there is a booking fee (for drivers) of around 36%" and when I challenged him on the fact that this isn't made clear anywhere on the JustPark website, he said: "I don't disagree with you, it would be helpful if this was made clearer." and " There isn't a specific article breaking down the fees the driver pays, unfortunately. This is just the price they will see on their side when searching and booking in." It seems really disingenuous of JustPark, as everywhere they advertise they say it is only the 3% and transaction fee that they charge. Would be interesting in hearing other peoples thoughts on this.0

I had the same issue a while ago when trying to book a regular space next to the station I drove to every day.
Was meant to be something like £90 a month. So I spoke to the owner, agreed to go ahead, then when I went to book through JustPark it came to about £120.
We both agreed it was a rip off and I just paid him the £90 directly every month.1 -
I'm hoping someone can help me with this.I'm trying to set up a spare parking space on my property driveway on one of the sites such as yourparkingspace.com. I did the due diligence and checked with the council and the mortgage people and they are both OK with it, but the house insurance (Hastings) said if I do this they will cancel my policy as renting out the space on my drive counts as running a business. So either I forget the whole thing, or I find an insurance company that is fine with it and I move to them.Does anyone who has already done this have any recommendations for a Home Insurance provider that will be OK with this? Many thanks, OT0

It may be worth posting on the insurance board here: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/categories/insurance-life-assurance

@mirmail Report it to the Advertising Standards Authority as being misleading advertising.
