Last payslip, negative PAYE tax

Hi everyone,
I switched my job and got the final pyslip which I don't understand, and I don't think is right.
I had contract for 134 hours a month and my last day was 10th February.
For February I got the payslip attached with deductions of £1745, more than my monthly salary and with negative PAYE. I assume thy deductions were for the difference of hours, however the employer is upset that I left and is not willing to provide details.
For January, even I worked the full month, employer deducted £345 from the salary, without any explanation.
Does this look right?
Thank you!

You should remove your NINO as you are leaving yourself open to having your identity stolen/abused.0

It's impossible to say whether it looks right without the detail of why that deduction was made, and the same for January. Did your pay normally change each month?
The negative PAYE is a tax refund, based on the fact that you're not receiving as much salary as the taxman expected in the tax year to date.
if you're in a union, speak to them. If you have legal advice cover with your home insurance, see if you can use that. If you're on your own, work out what you think you are owed as best you can and issue a Letter before Action - google that and the small claims court.Signature removed for peace of mind2 -
How can I remove the image? I can't find how can I edit my postDazed_and_C0nfused said:You should remove your NINO as you are leaving yourself open to having your identity stolen/abused.0 -
On the right hand side of the blue/green band at the top of your post is a sort of cog wheel symbol. Click on that and you will get an option to edit which you click on.grandanat said:

Click on the cog symbol top right of the post to get into edit mode.
I have also reported the post so a mod should hopefully be able to help if you can't do it yourself.0 -
The pay was the same on each month, regardless or number of hours worked.
Except January, that had deduction of £345, and Feb as in the screenshot0 -
Well, I'll repeat what I said before:grandanat said:The pay was the same on each month, regardless or number of hours worked.

If you don't know of any reason why the January pay should have been reduced, and the February pay was not obviously reduced pro rata, and the employer is not willing to explain these deductions, Small Claims Court is the answer. https://www.gov.uk/make-court-claim-for-moneySavvy_Sue said:It's impossible to say whether it looks right without the detail of why that deduction was made, and the same for January.
