From 4 April the price of a first-class stamp will rise by 10p, while a second-class stamp will rise by 2p.

Wonder if there will be any barcoded books of 1st and 2nd out (or even sheets) before 4 April as that will be the best thing to buy if available.

Barcoded stamps are already available at https://shop.royalmail.com/postage-and-packaging/first-and-second-class-stamps

I imagine that Post Offices will also have them

There should be.  RM survey participants have been told their April stamps allocation, which will be going out around now, will be barcoded so I suspect all new PO allocations will be the same. More likely in a large PO than a village PO for a while.

Asked at my village PO today and he said they had none and have no idea when they will arrive. He seemed a bit p... off by the whole thing actually.
