Morning everyone
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Still dark - air cooler than it has been, forecast is for a cooler but drier week - we'll see.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and brekkie whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Lunch yesterday was roast lamb, it was lovely but no LO's other than yorkshires and mash - I'll use them to be part of a meal over the coming days.
We were a bit productive over the weekend, but still jobs to do.
Back to work for me today - see what sort of chaos has gone on over the back end of the week.
Keep safe and well x

Morning All
Happy Birthday Ruby, hope you have a great day.
Frosty and foggy this morning, should make for an interesting drive to work although quite often by the time I get to the next town it's all clear, we are quite high up here.
The sofa cushion covers all survived a wash, everything was dried on the line, no airing required. All put back together so I could cosy up and watch the final of the Pottery Throwdown. My favourite won but they were all amazing.
Lots of little jobs were done yesterday, made thai carrot soup for my lunches this week. I also went shopping, lots of empty shelves and the prices seem to have risen quite sharply.
Off to work for me, another busy week in store I hope. I really must make an effort to go for a swim tonight, unless I get a better offer!
Take care.XX15 -
Morning all
Dry here but cold again. Off to work for me but need to drop my car off for its MOT first so will be a bit late for work but it cant be helped.
Thank you for the Birthday wishes it is todaywe will do presents etc when we all get back tonight so thats something to look forward to.
The fish curry was delicious yesterday and something we will do again, it was very filling, tonight we will have a takeaway as is traditional on your Birthday in this house so no cooking for me.
DW to empty this morning and I will see if there is enough washing to put a load on.
Have good days all xxx14 -
Morning folks and thanks NMLC. Brr this weather is going backwards - minus 1 when I got up and a thick frost.
Happy Birthday RUBY have a wonderful day although most of your celebrating sounded to be done on Saturday! My lovely dad was born on this day in 1912 - a month before the Titanic went down. He was taken before his time and I still miss him.
Another one happy with the Throw Down result but, to be fair, any one of them could have won. In my late teens a friend and I went to pottery classes. I shall say no more about my efforts but my friend has still got the bowl she made! She took it with her when they emigrated to NZ and survived another journey when they relocated to Oz! Despite various moves in Oz it is still going strong!
Yesterday ended up too slothful with not a lot to show for it, other than making my meals and a tub of tomato and basil soup to accompany my lunches for the coming days. Of course there was too much watching of News 24 for the happenings in Ukraine. As upsetting as I find it I can't stop putting it on. I wish there was an answer to it but how do you reason with a madman and his likeminded henchmen.
DD and co have been over at the van this w/e putting it to rights after the winter. The only storm damage was the tv aerial which was beyond repair. I think it will be a while before me and my Sparkle have a break there - I am waiting for the weather to warm up a bit first!
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for all in need. NRA I am thinking of you, I know what it's like to watch someone you love deteriorate day by day. Take care one and all and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"16 -
Morning
Happy happy birthday to my amazing friend rubes. Your family dinner sounded gorgeous and what a lovely present from DD. Hope today is full of even more surprises and you are spoilt rotten.
Loved my slothful Sunday again. Managed to shift my arris long enough to make banana bread which I tried cooking in my ninja for a change as it was not worth putting the oven on for. Good result will do that again.
Lit a smelly candle opened a nice vino and settled down to a TV afternoon.
Thanks again for the Bon Marche recommendations I got 2 pairs for her so I will await her reviews
Today I’m pretty manic again with the dull stuff. Washing and kitchen tidy then a general tidy up as cleaner is here tomorrow so need to clean a route for her to clean! Few calls to do as well and of course a bin run. Waved goodbye to a bag of jeans and shoes this morning.
Food tonight will be cod with a hoisin and soy glaze with some pea crushed potatoes and leeks.
Have a good day all

Good morning and thanks for starting NMLC. It's frosty but dry here.Happy Birthday Ruby!! Hope you enjoy your day. There a quite a few Pisces people on here, TA will be celebrating this week as well I believe. What a lovely thing for your dd to do Ruby, nice surprise for you.Glad you've got sorted out with your fire Izzy.Camelot, supermarket prices are rocketing, and it will continue I think.Nels, hope you find some pyjamas at BMarche, it was a good idea of TA's. I once found some pyjamas like that in Sains - I don't normally wear pyjamas, but was going into hospital for a breast op so needed an front opening top.Hope the holidaymakers are enjoying their time away.NRA, I'm sorry to hear that your Dad is deteriorating, thinking of you both.I'm going to my Book Club this morning, I didn't enjoy the book this time. The characters broke into Shakespearean speeches at every opportunity, and I got a bit fed up with it, wanted to tell them to shut up.However, that's the beauty of the group, we have varied books, hope the new one will be good reading..Hope everyone has a good day, thinking of NRA and anyone else with worries about relatives or life generally.14

Morning, hugs if you need one, and happy birthday to those with a birthday today.
Just realised I did not post yesterday, sorry.
My goodness its cold again this morning, up early, in the vain hope that the roofers come and do a proper job this time. Its the other side of the roof that we had trouble with before. It needs raking out and new concrete putting in.
Laundry in, cleaner due this morning, so a nice clean house later this morning.
Nothing planned for today, DB may spend some time in the shed, he has not quite finished sorting iy out.. One of the pots in the garden has a show of crocus, they are out, all of them were planted at the same time, the others have the bulbs coming up, but no sign of flowers as yet.
Supper tonight will be egg and chips I think.11 -
Good morning
Cold today but it is dry, hoping to get out for a walk later. My daughter & her partner are calling in this morning on their way to a holiday cottage.
I've been planting some seeds and pleased to see that some are germinating. I've also dug the dahlia tubers out of the cupboard and they look OK, must be nearly spring 😊
Another chicken dinner tonight as we made double yesterday so that will be nice and easy
Happy Birthday 🎂 Ruby
Have as good a day as you can 🌻13 -

Morning all & a very Happy Birthday to Ruby- have a lovely day x Freezing here, pooch prefers her water bowl outside for some reason, won't drink from the inside one
& I had to break the ice on it.
Our night out in M/cr didn't happen due to a train drivers strike, there was a replacement bus service but we've tried it before and it took a long time to get there so we gave it a miss & had an Italian takeaway instead. Going out for lunch with a friend today.I contacted Te*** again as I hadn't heard anything about my missing shopping. Spoke to a lovely man who listed all the missing items & said he would refund the money and give me a gift voucher too for the inconvenience ( which it was as I then had to go out and get some replacements)We had a lovely steak dinner last night, some from the butchers that I'd frozen. They were marinated in soy and black garlic sauce - very tasty. We've had a few roasts recently so it made a nice change. Tonight I have either beef strips or chicken thighs, will decide in a bit.Take care all xx
