Well, most of the "scammed by xyz" posts are about people not reading terms and conditions and paying for it, your gimmick score going down doesn't cost you anything so don't see many of them

Just to give an update, my  partner supplied bank statements and was offered the credit after all ! Thanks for all of your comments though
