The internet is like a very old fashioned telephone switchboard, y'know, with plugs and cables, just like the ones you see on old black and white films.... You ring the operator ( like you would make a call in days gone by) and ask a question (Whitehall 1212, please?). The operator (or you, Martin, or google or whoever) connects the person asking the question to the right number.
That made sense to my mum, who is 81.:cool:0 -
I was very close to my gran, and regularly chatted to her about life and work etc.
I had been a sysadmin for 12 years, when at the age of 101, she finally asked me
"What is a computer?"

A website to me is like a newspaper, with thousands of people all reading it and having a chance to talk about it in a very large letters page. You can write in about anything, or reply to any letter, and it all happens instantly.
So, martin would be Editor AND the main reporter. But there are also other reporters, photographers, people who help run the news paper and of course, readers, who get to send in their own letters.
