Marriage Allowance

in Cutting tax
My husband is claiming ESA and is in the support group. He has not got a current P60. Can we use an older one for me to claim the allowance? I am unable to do it online because he doesn't have the required ID. I thought I would seek out some advice here before spending all day on the phone trying to get hold of HMRC.
Grateful for any help.

The best time to phone is as soon as lines open.
Start dialling a minute or so beforehand to be at the front of the queue.
Sometimes staff start work early and will answer the phone before the official opening time.1 -
I'll try that, thank you 😊0

Remember you can't "claim" the allowance, it needs to be your husband who applies.
