• The Visit Isle of Wight ‘Win a Walking Break to the Isle of Wight’ (the "Competition") is open to mainland visitors to the Isle of Wight only due to the promotion of the Walking Festival in the UK. At least one entrant must be aged over 18. 
• The Competition is not open to employees or agencies of Visit Isle of Wight Ltd ("VIOW"), their group companies or family members or anyone else connected to the Competition.
• Entry into the Competition is acceptance of these Terms and Conditions and those of other partners listed below.
• To enter the Competition you must enter your details on the visitisleofwight.co.uk competition page. If you have any questions about how to enter or in connection with the competition, please email info@visitwight.org with 'Win a Walking Break to the Isle of Wight' in the subject line.
• Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submissions are not allowed. You are responsible for the cost of sending your Competition entry to us.
• No responsibility is taken for entries that are lost, delayed, misdirected or incomplete or cannot be delivered or entered for any technical or other reason. Proof of delivery of the entry is not proof of receipt.
• The Competition closes 23.59 on Sunday 3rd April 2022. Entries received after that date and time will not be considered.
• Winners will be chosen from a random draw of entries.
• The prize must be taken between Saturday 7th May 2022 and Sunday 15th May 2022. If a winner is unable to stay during this period, then the winner's prize will be forfeited and VIOW shall be entitled to randomly select another winner (and if that winner is unable to stay during this period they will also forfeit their prize).  
• Winners must sign up to at least one walk as part of this Walking Festival competition. Majority of walks are free, but some require a donation, which the winners will need to pay for. 
• The prize includes the following (please see individual items for specific t&cs):
  • A two night stay for two people in a double or twin en-suite room at One Holyrood in Newport. Room is subject to availabiltiy. Booking terms and conditions of hotel apply.
  • Travel to the Island on a passenger or vehicle ferry with Red Funnel, Wightlink or Hovertravel. One return ticket for two passengers.
    • Red Funnel: two return foot passenger tickets for use on either the Red Jet (Southampton to West Cowes) or the vehicle ferry (Southampton to East Cowes). Tickets are valid for a two night return between the 7th and 15th May 2022. Subject to Red Jet and vehicle ferry availabiltiy. Standard terms and conditions of carriage apply. No cash alternative available. 
    • Wightlink: Wightlink travel voucher will be given to the winner which will cover the two return foot passenger tickets. Routes available are from Portsmouth to Ryde (FastCat), Portsmouth to Fishbourne (vehicle ferry) and from Lymington to Yarmouth (vehicle ferry). Times will be subject to ferry availability and are only valid for a two night return between the 7th and 15th May 2022. The voucher can only be used on ferry travel only and not in retail units and it is non-refundable and has no cash redemption value. The voucher cannot be used with other discounts. Book ferry online as additional costs will incur if booking through contact centre or at ticket office.     • Hovertravel: two return foot passenger tickets for use on the hovercraft (Southsea to Ryde). Tickets are valid for a two night return between the 7th and 15th May 2022. Subject to hovercraft availabiltiy. Standard terms and conditions of carriage apply. No cash alternative available. 
  • Southern Vectis three day multi-day bus ticket bundle for two people. Tickets available on the Southern Vectis app only. Email address for each passenger will be required for the app. Winners will use the app to travel on the buses. The tickets will be valid for the three days between the 7th and 15th May 2022 and will be available on all routes including the seasonal routes. No cash alternative available. 
  • Evening main course meal each for two people at The Castle Inn in Newport. Prize is non-refundable, non-exchangeable and no cash alternative.
  • Picnic hamper for two people from Bluebells at Briddlesford. Prize is non-refundable, non-exchangeable and no cash alternative.
• The winner of the competition will be notified by email on or before 7th April 2022 and given details of how to claim their prize. If a winner does not respond to VIOW within 5 days of being notified by VIOW, then the winner's prize will be forfeited and VIOW shall be entitled to randomly select another winner (and that winner will have to respond to the email from VIOW within 5 days or else they will also forfeit their prize).

• By opting in to receive updates from our competition partners, you agree that Visit Isle of Wight can share your email address with partners associated with this competition who will email you in the future. These partners will include: One Holyrood, Red Funnel, Wightlink, Hovertravel, Southern Vectis, The Castle and Bluebells at Briddlesford.

• The prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable, and is not redeemable for cash or other prizes.
• VIOW retains the right to substitute the prize with another prize of similar value in the event the original prize offered is not available.
• The winner may be required for promotional activity.
• Nothing in these terms and conditions shall exclude the liability of VIOW for death, personal injury, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation as a result of its negligence.
• VIOW accepts no responsibility for any damage, loss, liabilities, injury or disappointment incurred or suffered by you as a result of entering the Competition or accepting the prize. VIOW further disclaims liability for any injury or damage to your or any other person's computer relating to or resulting from participation in or downloading any materials in connection with the competition.
• VIOW reserves the right at any time and from time to time to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently end this Competition with or without prior notice due to reasons outside its control (including, without limitation, in the case of anticipated, suspected or actual fraud, supervening/intervening legislation). The decision of VIOW in all matters under its control is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
• VIOW shall not be liable for any failure to comply with its obligations where the failure is caused by something outside its reasonable control. Such circumstances shall include, but not be limited to, weather conditions, fire, flood, hurricane, strike, industrial dispute, war, hostilities, political unrest, riots, civil commotion, inevitable accidents, supervening/intervening legislation or any other circumstances amounting to force majeure.
