Hi 👋 I bought a pack of mussels from tesco for me and my 3 yr old niece we were enjoying them untill she started choking which was very scary. Patted her back a few times and she managed to dislodge the item with appears to be small hard shelled crab. I've emailed tesco an just called them to be told to take the item instore ? So they can lodge a formal complaint.? But I've also just read not to take it instore. And to contact environmental health ? Any suggestions welcome please?

Give it to Tesco it so they can investigate. Otherwise there's little they can do.2

It sadly happens, take to Tesco and you should get a voucher. Environmental Health is for selling off food, bad hygiene etc. it’s just slipped through the net, surprised you didn’t see it when you were debearding them before cooking unless it was the boil in the bag type? It’s just not been picked up at the processing plant.Glad your niece is ok, I bet it was very worrying xI’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Competitions Time, Shopping & Freebies boards, Employment, Jobseeking & Training boards If you need any help on these boards, do let me know.
