No will, no executor, I just kept the house, I was never on mortgage as my late husband bought house before we married, when he died I was told I got the house as next of kin, there is no mortgage only a secured loan with Idem/paragon who have not had a penny for 7 years.0

It appears that your husband died intestate? And no-one applied for administration of his estate? If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0

Was this by a solicitor? I assume your husband didnt have any children?
So the house is still in your husbands name on the land registry?
The debt to idem should have been settled as part of the probate process and the house transferred into your name

Is the charge the reason that you havent gone through probate? Orders for Sale are very rare, but this may be a situation where the creditor could get one. I think you need to talk to a good debt adviser or a solicitor.0
