First Direct Loan

Hi, 

I have had a First Direct account for good 25 years now. 15 years ago I took out a loan, when I clicked on the loan section of the online banking it immediately provided me figure pre approved for the loan. Same it had for credit cards and overdrafts. There were no credit check carried out for the loan or credit card I had at that time. 

First Direct no longer shows pre approved limits on there online banking. 

Just wondering has anyone applied, was there a credit check or is there way to find out if they do have a pre approval limit?

Yes to both  - there would have been a credit check and a pre approval limit, though the actual limit given will depend on the final checks. The pre approval limit may not always be shown to the customer though.
