Energy price guarantee: questions answered + calculator tool
MSE's utilities team has put together several guides that answer many of the common questions about the changes to the energy price cap.
How much will I pay under October's price cap & what are the unit rates?
Topics covered include:
- How much you'll pay from October (our NEW calculator tool)
What is the energy price cap? How does it work and how much is it?
Topics covered include:
As well as these two guides, some other links you might find helpful are:
- What to do if you're struggling to pay your energy bills
- Energy mythbusting: Should you leave your heating on all day?
If none of the links above answer your question, you can of course start a new thread here on the Energy board. To help other Forumites give you useful answers, please remember to include details of your annual energy consumption, and the unit rates/standing charge for any tariff or fix you're asking about. How much you currently pay on a Direct Debit may not be useful for comparing tariffs. (But please be careful not to include any information that could identify you or other people.)
