in Cutting tax
Afternoon.
hopefully fairly simple process but with a married couple, what’s the best way to switch over the £1250 tax free allowance.
I was claiming it as my husband gave it from his but we have now switched roles with childcare
does he cancel his and then I resign up for it?

If your husband gave you the transfer allowance then HE made the claim, not you,.He needs to cancel it.When he cancels it it will run until the end of the tax year so do it now to finish in April.
iF you want your husband to have the transfer allowance then YOU need to apply to transfer it to him after 6 April.
