Hi
Does anyone get veg boxes from oddbox ?
I like the idea of buying fruit & veg that wouldn't make it to the supermarket for whatever reason but sometimes these things are expensive gimics.
Cheers
Jen

Personally I would find it hard getting a mix of veg and not knowing what to do with it, I prefer buying items I need to make meals, rather than finding meals that use what I've been sent.
But many other posters seem to enjoy making meals from random boxes/bags. If the value is good for what you actually use then it is a good buy. But if you get loads you don't eat, or odd quanities that are no use to anyone then these are pointless.1 -
We've been using Oddbox for over six months and found it works very well for us. As Jon81uk says, you end up with random stuff so it may not suit everyone's cooking style. I compared the contents of our first box with that of Sainsbury's and found them to be pretty much equal on price. We get more variety through Oddbox than if we shop ourselves. The quality is generally very good, now and then an item decays sooner than we can get to it. You can put in three exclusions for items you don't want. The one problem we've had is when they have had to sub in something at the last minute (which is understandable). We ended up with kiwis we couldn't use and thankfully our wonderful neighbours were happy to help. This has only happened twice and we 'solved' it by opting for veg only boxes for a while. The system is flexible enough that you can have a different box each week according to your needs. We did try their add-ons a few times but found them overpriced and not of good quality, so we don't bother now. HTH.3

We used Oddbox for months, then yesterday I cancelled our subscription. I really liked the idea to save veggies and fruits from going to waste and there was hardly any plastic in the packaging which also was an advantage. The quality was really good, so no complaints there either. But, it turned out that although we saved a lot of items to be wasted by the farms, we had to throw them away in the end, cause we didn't use them up. So I think Oddbox can be great, it was just my lack of creativity that made it a bad idea for us.1

Odd box in our city deliver very early in the morning… at 7am I often walk past the boxes still sat on doorsteps of houses that front onto a pavement with no garden. Where I live, it would go “missing”.working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0

Got a voucher with my post this morning. I'm not against wonky veg as most organic veg is Class II. I object to wonky sprayed veg though.0
