What kind of glue to fix my egg coddlers?

Not sure this is the right place but I thought it would go along with the 'make do and mend' thing? Basically I have a couple of porcelain egg coddles (a bit like this one: https://images.app.goo.gl/PrcBkGoom5F5ZjSc9 ) which I use most days for breakfast. Unfortunately due to their age and ongoing use, the glue which holds the metal screwtop to the porcelain has failed on one. I'd like to glue it back on but have no idea which glue to use? Since the coddlers need to sit in boiling water for 6 or 7 minutes, whatever I use needs to be foodsafe, waterproof and heat resistant. Any ideas anyone?

Many thanks in advance!

When i was a child, more years ago than i care to remember, my dad glued the sweet thermometer, an ancient mercury filled one, with araldite. The glass bit was sliding up and down in the brass bit. This has now been used, glued, for at least 55 years. Glue still in place it's used for sweets, jam, etc so gets very hot. Don't know whether araldite is toxic, but i've never seen any adverse reactions. HTH, mumtomany.xx

Bossypants,  Many years ago, when I was waiting for my eldest son (now 53) someone gifted me an old carrycot with broken off handles.  I stuck the handles on with Araldite and the carrycot bore my two sons about quite safely and was then passed on yet another user.
If it can safely carry babies around for years, I would think it can mend an egg coddler.
