Help with prize

Hi All,

Just after some advice please.

I won a twitter comp and the prize was a years streaming with JDSports Women.

I emailed a good week or so after the 14 working days that they said I would receive it by. The first few messages were unread for two weeks, so I then contacted the customer service team. They keep saying the same thing - that is has been passed on to the relevant team and someone will contact me.

The initial twitter page eventually read the messages and asked what I had won. I replied with a screenshot but now the messages are back to being unread again.

Can anyone advise what I can do next?

I know sometimes it's trival, but I'm more mad that I'm having to chase a prize that they promoted on their twitter and that each different person I chat with just repeats the same message.

TIA :)

Do they have a phone number that you could try to get them on?
  • I'll be able to find a number, but I'll probably experience the same issues of just being told that it's being passed on.

I'll have to give it a try. :)

I had an issue with a twitter competition win with a different company. After over 2 months of chasing I contacted their customer service department via their website saying how disappointed I was with the lack of communication and constant chasing and if I didnt receive some communication back within 2 weeks I had be advised to contact the ASA. Had a reply within the week and my prize plus and extra gift voucher 2 days later.

I was also advise that all my chasing with DMs on twitter was actually just pushing me back in the queue. So I would advise going though some other channels aswell.

    Hopefully this helps alittle?

You should embarrass then publicly on twitter if that's where the original competition was.
Comment on the competition that it's been X weeks and still waiting. Post a new tweet and tag the company with details about lack of prize.
The point of the competition is to get positive PR so they will be very quick to deal with negative PR.
  • Thanks all - I'll certainly give them a try! :)
