TERMS AND CONDITIONS for “Win on Hometime with Bush & Richie and Tesco Mobile” (or “the on-air Competition” or the “on-air game”). These specific terms should be read with our general competition terms at: http://www.bauerlegal.co.uk/radio-competition-terms.html which also apply to this Competition.

 

1. ENTRY ROUTES AND COSTS

 

i. Registration is restricted to one per person.

 

ii. The only way to be included on the shortlist to play the on-air game and online draw is to register online at https://planetradio.co.uk/absolute-radio/competitions/ or “the online competition page”

 

iii. Online registration is free of charge.

 

2. COMPETITION MECHANIC AND HOW TO WIN

 

2.1 The On-air game

 

2.1.1 Pre-Registration
i. Anyone interested in playing the on-air game must register their interest on the online competition page which includes agreeing to these terms and conditions. Refer to Section 1 for entry routes.
ii. Registering to play the on-air game does not provide any guarantee that you will play the on-air game or win a prize.

 

2.1.2 Shortlisting and being invited to play the on-air game

 

i. The Absolute Radio production team will draw a shortlist of potential contestants at random from the pre-registered entries.
ii. The Absolute Radio production team will contact you to check your availability & eligibility to play the on-air game.
iii. Being contacted does not guarantee you will play the on-air game.
iv. Being invited to play the on-air game does not guarantee you will win a prize or prizes.
v. If you have been selected to play the on-air game, you must be contactable on the phone number you provided and, on the time and date agreed with the Absolute Radio production team.
vi. The Absolute Radio production team reserve the right to choose another contestant from the shortlist if they are unable to contact you.

 

Please note: The timings may vary from the recording and the on-air time of the competition.

 

2.1.3 The competition will air during the Hometime Show (“the Show”) with Bush & Richie (“the presenters”) between 1600 and 1900, Monday to Friday during the competition period.

 

2.1.4. The Online Game

 

Online Competition:

 

The prize winner for the online competition will be selected from those persons who successfully answer the online question correctly.

 

 

 

The online winner will be chosen by electronic random draw on 28/03/2022 (online entry period closes at 23:59 on 27/03/2022)

 

2.2 HOW TO WIN – On-Air

 

i. Two contestants will be brought on-air to compete in our on-air competition. Each contestant will be given the same popular song that is played on rotation from the Absolute Radio playlist.

 

ii. Once on-air Bush and Richie will play a section of this song.

 

iii. At an unspecified point in the song, the music will stop/be turned down and the contestant will be required to carry on singing the song.

 

iiii. A winner will be decided by the Absolute Radio production team and an independent judge on how well the contestant meets the criteria of singing the correct words to the missing part of the song, keeping on beat and in time with the missing part and the overall performance.

 

V. The Absolute Radio production team and an independent judge will decide the winner after hearing both contestants.  The winner is at the discretion of this individual and their decision is final.  The winner may be called at a separate time to them recording the competition.

 

2.3 HOW TO WIN – Online

 

i. An online winner will be selected at random via an electronic draw after answering a simple entry question.

 

3. ENTRY PERIOD

 

3.1 The On-air Game

 

i. Pre-registration to play the on-air game will be open from 00:01 on Wednesday 23rdFebruary 2022 until Friday 4th March 2022 at 09.30am.

 

ii. The on-air competition will broadcast on Hometime with Bush & Richie from Monday 28th February 2022 to Friday 4th March 2022, between 16:00 and 19:00 each day.

 

iii. The competition may be recorded at a different time(s), the details of which will be determined by the Absolute Radio production team during the contestant shortlisting stage. Refer to Section 2.1.2.

 

3.2 The Online Game

 

i. The online game will be open from 00:01 on Wednesday 23rd February 2022 until 23.59 Sunday 6th March 2022.

 

4. ENTRY RESTRICTIONS

 

Entrants to the on-air and the online competition must fulfil all competition the specific terms and conditions mentioned below, in addition to Bauer Media’s Competition General Terms & Condition:

ii. Open to UK residents aged 18 years or over on date of entry.

 

iii. Our employees (and their family members) or employees of any company involved in the Competition, including any Prize Provider, are not permitted to enter.

 

iv. We reserve the right to disqualify any entrant or winner who does not comply with any of the eligibility criteria and/or is in breach of these Terms. We reserve the right to repeat the competition mechanic or any stage of it in order to draw a winner that fulfils all of the eligibility criteria and is in compliance with these Terms.

 

v. If anyone has won a competition on any Bauer Media brand to the value of £500 or more in the past 6 months, they or any person at the winning address will not be eligible to win the competition. Winning the on-air competition will trigger this condition for the Daily Prize Draw competition also featured on the competition page.

5. THE PRIZE

 

5.1 The On-air Prize

 

i. The individual announced as the winner will win £2000 via bank transfer or cheque. Please refer to Section 2 for details of how the on-air & online competition works and how to win.

 

ii. Each daily winner must fulfil all eligibility and entry terms and conditions.

 

iii. Prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable and no alternative will be offered, unless stated by the Absolute Radio Production team, including members of Bauer Media Production team.

 

 5.2 The Online Prize

 

i. There will be 1 x winner awarded £2,000 in cash via cheque or bank transfer.

 

ii. Prizes are non-transferable & non-refundable and no alternative will be offered, unless stated by the Absolute Radio Production team, including members of Bauer Media Production team.

 

6. OTHER CONDITIONS

 

6.1 DATA PROTECTION.
Names, email addresses, and /or telephone numbers (which, for all SMS competitions, will be shared with our SMS provider,) will be collected and used to process entries. Winner’s details may be given to the prize provider to arrange delivery of the prize. Your details may remain stored after the End Date but will not be used for marketing unless you have ticked an opt-in box on entry. 6.2 INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND CONSENTS.
By entering this Competition, you are consenting to our use of your entry both to publicise this Competition, our radio station or any other radio station which we own or control. This means that we may use all names, images, descriptions, photographs video footage, and other information, which you’ve submitted on entry, in any media, without paying you and without any time restriction. You also agree that we may film, record or photograph you in connection with the competition and /or the Prize (if you win!). We will own these films, recordings or photographs and we may use them publicly, including on the internet, for our radio broadcasts and/or for any promotional purposes. You will also have waived any moral rights or right to payment that you may have had.

 

6.3 MISCELLANEOUS.
xi. Entries that don’t comply with these terms won’t be accepted and you may be disqualified if we think you’ve breached them.
xii. Participants may only enter once
xiii. If there is a dispute about the operation of the Competition or correctness of any answers given, our decision is final and no discussion will be entered into on this subject.
xiv. The correct answers to questions must exactly match our answers to win.
xv. We are not responsible if you fail to get through when you call / text to enter, or if you lose signal during a call.
xvi. You are responsible for all costs of entry.
xvii. You may be disqualified if you are incomprehensible, inaudible or if you appear to be driving, intoxicated or likely to offend listeners.
xviii. Whilst on-air, you must not make inappropriate or offensive statements.
xix. As far as it is lawful to do so we exclude our liability for any losses suffered in connection with the Competition / the Prize.
xx. We may cancel / amend / end / suspend the Competition if we need to do so due to circumstances outside our control.
