welcome Car finance Help
In 2004 my husband got a car from welcome car finance. The total amount was for 14k which included the ppi and break down cover etc, it was to be paid over 48 months.
A year later he asked to take off the ppi and other insurances. They said he couldnt take the ppi off but would take the others off. our monthly payment then reduced.
My husband has had the car now for 39 months and at the weekend had an accident. The car is now a write off.
He called welcome and they said he still owed 9000k and had only paid 4000k
I worked out that we have actually paid over 7000 to them. We have 9 months left of the agreement. We have asked for a detailed breakdown of the all the payments we have made etc. We have bank statements to prove what we have paid them.
We dont know what to do now. Im sure that we only owe them around 3000.
Can anyone adivse us on the next steps we should take.
Ive just read that you can claim back the ppi, is this something we should do. Has anyone else had the same problem.

I am sure that you will not owe them any more at all.
If you can confirm how you got the loan. Did you deal directly with Welcome or did the forecourt arrange the finance?I am a former Broker, former IFA and former compliance officer, for my sins.
However, I have since seen the light.0 -
It was the forecourt that delt with it all. My husband had travelled to thurrock and did it all at the show room.0
