My friend is married to a Greek man. He has funds in a Greek bank for the deposit on a property in London that they want to purchase. How long do the funds need to be in a UK bank account? (anti money laundering etc). Any advice greatly appreciated.

They don't need to be an a UK bank account. Source of funds can be checked while it's an a foreign account.0

The source will need to be verified.0

He'll likely need to get certified translations for his greek financial information. The AML checks can go back a few months or a few years. There's no set time limit for verifying funds.0
