Hi. So the first thing, before you do anything else, is decide whether your home is suitable. If you want to put panels on your roof (the most common option) you need a roof that faces south-ish and gets the sun for most of the day.Not under trees, not in the shadow of a neighbouring property, not full of dormer windows or chimneys. If you don't have a south-facing roof, you do have the option of putting panels on an east- or west-facing one but that isn't quite as efficient.N. What is your usage per day and what is it between say 7am and 4pm, so you work out your self consumption. How big is your roof? Direction, and pitch? Closest city? What quotes have you got so far?"we one person at home all the time and me who works up 30 hours a week.""our roof is not shade or birds"

There is a local company that seems to do it but am now looking at either staying where we are or moving to a smaller place and doing it there
Will see what happens soon but do want to look at it either here or at other place we are looking at buying
Any other help information please

remember no one knows what energy bills will be in 20 years time ,as some one whose friends were telling me i was wasting my money in 2014 and turns out to be the best investment i have ever made.i think there would be a lot less wars if every country was self sufficient in energy production and solar panels are one of the few way individuals can help achieve this5
