Self Assessment Payments on Account and PAYE

in Cutting tax
HI - hoping someone can help with the above. I am submitting my tax return for 20/21 (late I know but I understand that you can submit by Feb 28th and my father passed away in January so I am bit delayed). It is quite straightforward other than I have now become PAYE and have been so since May of the tax year 21/22 so I am now paying tax at source but my tax return of 20/21 includes a payment on account that I don't now owe as am paying on PAYE. My question is do I submit the tax return with the payment on account and then adjust after the submission or should I do something before submission to alter this as obviously I don not want to pay a substantial sum for the tax year 21/22 now and then have to claw this back as an overpayment. Any assistance in what to do would be very helpful here. Thanks a lot

Towards the end of the return there is a question in the form ‘Do you wish to reduce your payments on account for 2021/22..?’ or similar. You will be asked what you wish EACH to be reduced to.(Might be in ‘Tailor your return’ - can’t remember!0
