Found you! Sounds like you're doing everything right!
I've thought about those binders too but instead I've got myself a monzo account and move digital money into pots instead away from my current account.
I've put money into individual envelopes so each week I get 'paid' £50 I find that helps massively too!

So yesterday i withdrew money from the bank £200. I will give myself £50 a week for personal spends anything i don' spend will be kept to help reduce the £850 i have on my card.
Last night a friend treated me to tea as i had done her a favour. It was very kind and she didn't have to do that as i was really glad i could help her out. Anyway i paid for a couple of drinks which came to£8.90 so i came home and popped the 10p into the piggy bank and the £1 into a seperate jar for that - this makes me think i spent £10 (it works for me)
I don't have much planned over the next few days/weekend. I am meeting a friend for a wander which will no doubt lead to Tea and cake but that's ok. I don't need anything else so all good.
I still need to do car insurance and ebay i should do that tonight as OH is watching footie. i also need euros so will look at the best rate ( i have the cash ready for this)
My MH is so so. i need to watch this. My diagnosis means that i can sometimes spot the signs before i spiral so time of social media and a bath is in order tonight.
Have the best day peoplexx

Great idea with the cash! I am doing a 35 Envelope Challenge which essentially means putting £1-£35 into envelopes and that makes £680 of savings... I started 2 weeks ago and already have over £50 just saved from nothing really. I'm on the £11+ numbers now so things are a little harder than before and envelopes are slower to fill but I am going to use that money for when we buy our new house to get bits and bobs for it like rugs etc
Love a little walk that ends in cake! It's so important to have those little treats. Before I used to think I had to throw everything to debt otherwise I felt guilty but now I know better!
Hope your week is good!Life is too short not to love what you do.1 -
Morning all
So i am a little frustrated today. I transferred my debt to a 0% interest BUT i cant get it to load on the app. This is triggering me as i just don't have the patience for it so i will phone them this morning to see if they can help. I do all my banking online and i am relatively organised so this is just a pain. i know its not really that much of an issue in the bigger scheme of things.
whilst my money ticks along nicely and i am organised i wanted to take baby steps on things i would like to change weather that be, make more effort with friends, contact them more (although its 2 ways) don't fret about fake friends and be with people who make you feel good. its something i teach my daughter but i could do better myself.
I do have a little fitness goal. its not much (i like walking but need to improve cardio) so i have myself a skipping rope. i intend to do a little before my lunch in my lunch hour, and see how i get on. skipping sounds easy and it was, for me, 40 years ago... lol
I still haven't got out the paperwork for car insurance, mainly because i think in my BP highs i started to tidy the attic and put it there however then i got a low so its such a mess up there i am avoiding it. If anyone has any tips on how to sort out the attic i would be all ears. Normally i am so good at that but i just keep moving things around and nothing really changes.
anyway i am rambling. have a good day.xx0 -

Was Tesco just taking ages to show the 0% balance? Glad it's all sorted!

Morning
I have a good weekend and spent the grand total of £5.10 on Saturday for tea and cake. lovely walk round the park with my friend and catch up so 13K steps in. Yesterday i just pottered about and tidied up the back garden. I really need to paint bits of my fence but need to be patient for the better weather.
So last week i had £10 left of my £50 pocket money (i actually had more but change goes into piggy bank and £1 coins go into tub) I have put that £10 to the side just now and as its a new week at i have a new £50. I know its early days but i do like this approach.
I have a local night out on Thursday and whilst i think i will have a couple of drinks it wont be anything huge. I'm also going to list a couple of things on ebay. ive been putting this off as i never know how much to add postage. anyone know how to work this out? i'm rubbish at that.
i have a wedding later on the year to go to and have seen an outfit. Its very reasonable so still toiling with that. I think if its still available in a week or so i will re budget to buy it
have a good day xx

I think with postage it really depends what you are sending. You can check prices at https://www.postoffice.co.uk/postage-finder/ but that's probably more expensive than using one of the courier companies like Hermes if it's heavier than 100g! I'd just weigh what you want to send and then check both the PO and Hermes/DPD etc and see which is cheapest.1

Hi people
So today in my lunch hour i sorted out my Road tax. I normally pay this on the credit card in one go but i decided to pay in monthly. It will cost me £13 a year more but i figure as i don't have the money to shell out in one go without popping it on the card this is the best thing to do. So i have re worked the budget again lol.
My little one has the virus so i think my trip out to the local pub is off. I'm still testing negative but i have this what if feeling....
question...what does everyone do when in the middle of the month motivation has dipped re finances? i love to de clutter and keep out of the shops that way but to be honest there is hardly anything left to declutter, clear, organise.
Im tired today and without to much detail due my periods in a few days so the fall out from that is my anxiety and paranoia is at an all time high and my MH is at times off the scale - even more than normal .
Anyway fingers crossed i sleep tonight!
Tea xx
