Gopuff delivery service

Just had a flyer through my letterbox from Gopuff delivery service. Wow!, delivery fee  only £1.79. This must be worth a look.
So did a couple of price comparisons.
1) Nutella 200g - ASDA £1.65, Gopuff £2.65!
and at the other extreme 2) Weetabix 24 - Waitrose 2.80, Gopuff £3.33!
No wonder they have a low delivery charge!!

These sort of grocery deliveries by bike (Gopuff, Uber Eats, Gorilla, Deliveroo) aren't designed to replace the big weekly shop, they are for the top ups and emergency purchases. I think they are also aimed at people who don't have a car or can't get out quickly for those small shops.
Yes the prices are going to be higher but Tesco Express prices are also higher than superstores.

but get message that the code is not valid. What a waste of time

They, and the other immediate delivery services, aren't a substitution for a supermarket shop. It's much fairer to consider them against a cornershop, which is what they are an alternative to where you just need a few bits now rather than a full shop.

As always these things are a bit of swings and roundabouts... there certainly have been times when sales or promos make things very cheap

Sorry to hear that, @Giammy85. My colleague is contacting GoPuff to get to the bottom of it. I'll update here once I have an answer, hopefully next week.

Update, @Giammy85 - there's a new code in there now:

    Hope that's useful,

  • Not a bit wonder the code didn't work - the original post is nearly 2 1/2 years old!
