These are good deals. This is exactly what I want but I also want it with Europe maps. Anyone know any similar deals? I can't find a 520 traffic on halfords website with Europe too.

What is the difference between 720 and 520? Sorry this is probably the wrong place for this postMF date: Dec [STRIKE]2028[/STRIKE] 2019. Overpayments in 2007=£900, 2008=£1200 2009=234000 -

yeh typical tomtom this...i think the 720 is the same as the 520 but has europe maps, whereas the 520 only has uk maps...cant see any difference (there are 3 versions of the 520 (520, 520 music, 520 traffic) and 2 of the 720 (720, 720 traffic))
for me the music edition is a waste of time as i dont have, and will not require, an ipod...so to me the music edition's ipod cable and voucher are about as useful as a litter tray of cat doo (whilst better than the std edition which is more exp)...i think the original rds traffic transmitter was rubbish but this one is a bit better so no more subs to tomtom for traffic (hopefully!!)
i wouldnt buy from empire - not after my prior experiences - you wait till you want to return somethingStevie Coppell's record breaking blue and white royal army - championship winners 2005-60 -
My friend has one of these 720T and I bought the garmin 760T as we have just both started jobs as multi drop drivers the best price I got my garmin for was £260 from Handtec delivered.
They both do the same things but have 2 useful functions each that the other doesn't, The tomtom has mapshare technology and voice input of addresses (providing you are not in a noisy driving enviroment!!!)
The Garmin speaks the name of the road you need to turn into great if you need to be keeping your eye on the road and not the satnav, and something called route optimization where you can put in multipule addresses and press route optimization and it will calculate the best and quickest route a godsend saved me over 2 hours the first time I used it on 50+ deliveries (including keying all the postcodes into it).
We have both tried each others satnav and concluded for car driving a-b the tomtom would be a better buy, but for people visiting multipule destinations in a day and need the quickest route the Garmin wins hands down

Halfords have come down £30 since Thursday lunchtime! Paid about £210 for 520 traffic from Currys, including Quidco and a £5 off code from the pass the parcel game.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0
